The GSAT-20 satellite, now named GSAT-N2, is scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2024, utilizing SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. This marks the first instance of ISRO, through its commercial arm NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), employing Elon Musk’s SpaceX for a satellite launch. The primary objective of this launch is to address India’s broadband communication requirements.
