Ambati Rayudu, who left the YSRCP within 10 days of joining, had shown interest in a Rajya Sabha position. Nevertheless, the YSRCP aimed to nominate him for the Guntur Lok Sabha seat, which Rayudu asserted as his hometown. Reports indicate that his dissatisfaction arose when the party contemplated other candidates for the same constituency.
