On Sunday, the Telangana government opted to modify the state’s abbreviation in the Union government’s gazette from ‘TS’ to ‘TG.’ Consequently, vehicle registration numbers within the state will transition to bear the ‘TG’ prefix. The selection of the ‘TS’ prefix was made by the TRS (now BRS) government upon the state’s establishment in 2014.
