DBS Group, Singapore’s largest bank, has decreased the compensation of its CEO, Piyush Gupta, by S$4.1 million (equivalent to over ₹25 crore), following a string of digital banking disruptions the previous year. These outages resulted in the suspension of payment and ATM transactions across Singapore. Gupta’s pay reduction entails a 30% decrease in variable compensation. In total, Gupta earned S$15.4 million in 2022.
