Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to deliver a speech at the Annual Investment Summit organized by India Global Forum (IGF) in Mumbai next month, according to a statement released on Thursday. Scheduled for March 6 at the Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai, the summit, themed ‘NXT10’, will explore India’s growth prospects over the next decade as it strides towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. The event, taking place from March 5-6, will bring together prominent figures from various fields including business, politics, art, and culture to discuss India’s economic trajectory and geopolitical significance.
A highly anticipated session titled ‘What Analysts Get Wrong About India’ will feature Union Minister Amit Shah addressing prevailing narratives about India’s growth, politics, and society that often dominate Western headlines. Manoj Ladwa, Founder and Chairman of IGF, expressed anticipation for Amit Shah’s insights, highlighting the global interest in his perspective on India’s current status and future vision.
Ladwa further emphasized India’s significant progress in the last decade, noting its leadership in technology, innovation, and science. He highlighted India’s confident emergence on the world stage and projected it to become the third-largest economy with a GDP of USD five trillion in the next three years, aiming for USD 7 trillion by 2030. The ‘NXT10’ summit will also feature Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, who will discuss the state’s economic prospects and its plan to achieve a USD 1 trillion economy leveraging its coastal advantages.
Additionally, the summit will host Rick Reider, Managing Director and BlackRock’s Global Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income, who will provide insights into the global investment landscape.
