Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar confidently stated on Tuesday that the BJP-JD(U) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to claim victory in all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, scheduled for April-May.
During his response to the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address, Nitish emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA will secure triumph in all the Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. He also expressed optimism that the ruling alliance would sweep the next assembly polls, slated for 2025, projecting a win of over 200 seats.
Nitish underscored the importance of unity between the BJP and JD(U) for the state’s development, reaffirming their commitment to working together. He urged JD(U) MLAs to stay focused on their goals without distraction, assuring them of victory in the elections.
Regarding government initiatives, Nitish reiterated the commitment to providing employment opportunities to 10 lakh individuals, noting that 5.33 lakh jobs have already been provided. He expressed his unwavering loyalty to his old ally, emphasizing their long-standing partnership and past electoral successes driven by development efforts.
In addition, State Finance Minister Samrat Choudhary presented a budget of Rs. 2.79 lakh crore for the financial year 2024-25 in the state assembly. He highlighted the significant progress made in poverty reduction, with 2.5 crore people rising above the poverty line in the current fiscal year. Choudhary also noted the state’s impressive growth rate of 10.64% and the government’s focus on youth employment and quality education.
