According to Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the bullet train project experienced a slowdown during the administration of Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra. Vaishnaw remarked that if the Uddhav Thackeray government had expedited all the necessary permissions more swiftly, the project could have advanced much further by now. He emphasized that once the Eknath Shinde-led government assumed power, permissions were granted within 10 days.
