Before the elections, BRS MP Pothuganti Ramulu, along with his son and several other party members, switched allegiance to the BJP, expressing their appreciation for Prime Minister Modi’s policies. They received a warm welcome from senior BJP figures such as Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar and party in-charge Tarun Chugh. Ramulu was recognized as a committed Dalit leader in Telangana.
