Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during their meeting in New Delhi on Thursday. Gates highlighted topics such as Artificial Intelligence, women-led development, innovation in agriculture, health, and climate adaptation, as well as sharing insights from India with the rest of the world. He expressed his admiration for PM Modi, stating that their discussions were both inspiring and extensive.
PM Modi described the meeting as “wonderful,” expressing his enthusiasm for discussing sectors that could improve the planet and empower millions globally.
Earlier in the day, Gates also met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. His visit to India began with a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Odisha, followed by a visit to a slum in Bhubaneswar, where he inquired about the residents’ well-being. Gates also interacted with members of women’s self-help groups (SHGs) during his visit to the state.
Additionally, Gates is expected to participate in the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
