Railway workers’ unions, united under the Joint Forum for Restoration of Old Pension Scheme (JFROPS), have jointly issued a threat to cease all train operations beginning May 1 unless their demands are addressed. JFROPS expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s lack of commitment to restoring the ‘Defined Guaranteed Old Pension Scheme’ in lieu of the ‘New Pension Scheme’.
