Taking place in 17th-century South Malabar, the Malayalam horror movie “Bramayugam” tells the story of Thevan and his companion Koran, who seek sanctuary in a forest. However, their refuge takes a dark turn when Koran falls in love and is murdered by a woman. Later, Thevan encounters the ominous figure Chaathan. Although a fiery confrontation results in Thevan’s demise, the horror persists as Chaathan takes on his identity.
