The government has initiated the sale of rice under the ‘Bharat’ brand, priced at ₹29 per kilogram, in packaging options of 5kg and 10kg. This rice will be accessible at all Kendriya Bhandar, NAFED, and NCCF outlets, both physical and mobile, starting from February 6. The introduction of ‘Bharat’ rice is expected to augment the availability of rice at economical prices, thereby aiding in price stabilization, as stated by the government.
