Actress Deepika Padukone is elated to announce that she will be among the presenters at the upcoming BAFTA Awards, joining a prestigious lineup that includes luminaries such as David Beckham, Dua Lipa, Cate Blanchett, Adjoa Andoh from ‘Bridgerton,’ Hugh Grant from ‘Wonka,’ and Lily Collins from ‘Emily in Paris.’ Expressing her gratitude, Deepika took to Instagram to share the news with her followers.
The 77th BAFTA Film Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, February 18, at London’s Royal Festival Hall, maintaining its venue for the second consecutive year. Indian audiences can catch the live stream of the event on Lionsgate Play.
The star-studded guest list includes Barry Keoghan from ‘Saltburn,’ Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan from ‘Maestro,’ Cillian Murphy from ‘Oppenheimer,’ and directors Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, Celine Song, and Yorgos Lanthimos, as reported by Variety.
Deepika previously represented India as a presenter at the 2023 Oscars.
On the film front, Deepika recently starred in the high-flying action thriller ‘Fighter’ alongside Hrithik Roshan, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film, which also featured Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi, received a positive response from audiences. Her next project is the sci-fi action thriller ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside southern star Prabhas, directed by Nag Ashwin and also featuring Amitabh Bachchan. The film is slated to release on May 9, 2024.
