The government has raised the interest rates on select Small Savings Schemes for the January-March 2024 quarter. As per a notification from the Ministry of Finance, the interest rate for a three-year time deposit has been hiked to 7.1%, up from 7.0%. Simultaneously, the interest rate for the Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme has been elevated by 20 basis points to 8.2%.
