Ashneer Grover, co-founder of BharatPe, has ventured into a new endeavor alongside Aseem Ghavri, unveiling ZeroPe, a fintech application tailored specifically for medical bill payments. The app, detailed on the Google Play Store, is crafted by Delhi-based Third Unicorn, a venture initiated by Grover and Ghavri subsequent to Grover’s departure from BharatPe. Notably, Third Unicorn debuted in the market last year with CrickPe, a real-money fantasy cricket app.
Described as a tool to streamline the loan process and simplify healthcare payments, ZeroPe aims to alleviate the burden of medical expenses. The platform extends financing options of up to Rs 5 lakh for medical bills and has forged a partnership with Delhi-based non-banking financial corporation (NBFC), Mukut Finvest, to act as its lending counterpart.
The unveiling of ZeroPe was initially covered by MoneyControl, shedding light on the burgeoning landscape of fintech startups in India catering to medical emergencies. Concurrently, similar initiatives like QubeHealth and SaveIn have emerged, offering instantaneous financing solutions for medical exigencies. QubeHealth, a player in this domain, is reportedly gearing up to secure Series A funding ranging between $6-9 million.
Grover’s Third Unicorn previously garnered notable attention when it secured funding in the range of $3.5-4 million, spearheaded by ZNL Growth Fund in February last year. Aseem Ghavri, co-founder of Third Unicorn, brings his experience from leading Code Brew Labs, an enterprise app development firm that played a pivotal role in designing BharatPe’s initial app.Ashneer Grover introduces ZeroPe, a fresh startup aimed at facilitating medical bill payments.
