In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in India, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 37.37% of the votes, maintaining a similar percentage to the previous election where they had 37.34%. The Indian National Congress (INC) saw a significant increase in its vote share, rising to 22.34% from 19.49% in 2019. The collective vote share of the opposition alliance, INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance), was 42%, while the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) garnered 45% of the votes​.
