The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show cause notice to Air India and SpiceJet for failing to assign pilots trained in operating flights using the CAT-III instrument landing system. This action was taken in response to over 50 flights scheduled for Delhi airport being diverted on December 24-25 and December 27-28 due to poor visibility, as stated by the DGCA.
