At the age of 12 years and 284 days, Vaibhav Suryavanshi participated in his first Ranji Trophy match for Bihar against Mumbai on Friday. This makes Suryavanshi the fourth-youngest Indian to partake in a first-class match. Alimuddin currently holds the record as the youngest debutant in first-class cricket, achieving this at the age of 12 years and 73 days while playing for Rajputana against Baroda in the 1942-43 season.
